The Little Egypt Amateur Radio Society is the Amatuer
Radio Club of the Benton, Illinois
area. We currently meet on the second Tuesday of each
month at 6:30 pm, at the Franklin
Hospital in Benton [map]. Visitors are always
welcome. Click here to request

Our
VHF repeater is located at the Southern end of Rend
Lake, just outside
of Benton IL
on the frequency pairs of 146.8050 / 146.2050 MHz with
a required PL tone of 88.5.
We
conduct our weekly Net Meetings on the LEARS VHF repeater
every Monday evening beginning at 9:00 pm. All licensed
amateurs are welcome and encouraged to check in. A current

Looking

LEARS club is hosting technician-class amateur radio classes!

LEARS
is now holding bi-monthly VE Testing. Testing sessions
will be held every even month thoughout 2009. Test sessions
will be held at the Franklin Hospital on the same nights
that we hold our monthly meeting. For a list of times
